With A Nerd At Large I’m looking to change a recurring scenario in my life. A colleague or family member will ask after my latest trip, and I will get excited and start regaling them with all of the fascinating museums I visited, the architectural wonders and works of art I got to see first hand, the esoteric mind-boggling facts I picked up along the way, and then within seconds their eyes glaze over and they change the subject.
I know you’re out there. It’s just a matter of finding you, or letting you find me, which you must have done since you’re reading this. There are people in the world who love all the crazy stuff that I care about, and it is my ongoing mission to bring them together and entertain them with my wacky and informative travel stories, and allow you to enjoy and learn from my calamities adventures.

My name is Steph and I am a nerd. Wanderlust got me early — I attempted to run away from home for the first time at the tender age of 3 — and I have always felt an inescapable and intense curiosity about the world.
Blessed with the ability to find something interesting in almost anything, I will go anywhere, anytime if it means I get to experience something new. I have a particular fondness for roadside attractions, weird and wonderful museums, wacky festivals, and places with amusing names.
